Speaking of Toaplan.
For anyone who might not be familiar with them or realise just how important they were when it came to the shoot em up genre, I highly recommend this incredible episode of Shmup Junkie.

He’s also working on a blu-ray release of a big Toaplan documentary with lots of interviews with original developers.
Hopefully that will finally get completed this year as it’s been in the works for quite a long time now.
But hey, you can’t rush quality.
