Make sure that you have your University, company, or other institutions VPN installed. You're going to be connected for long periods of time to public Wi-Fi networks that are easy targets for people wanting to harvest out of the air. Use a VPN to make sure all your traffic gets encrypted so you don't have to trust the public network as much.
