Linux 6.15 Memory Management improvements

The upcoming version of Linux will incorporate many memory management improvements that will make your PC better than before. This pull request, which is already migrated to the main Linux 6.15 Git, incorporates many memory management changes that will achieve that goal of making your PC manage memory better than before. As this pull request mentions a possible Linux 6.15 RC1 release by just a title, we expect that this release candidate will be released on April 6th.

A new command-line options, hugetlb_alloc_threads, has been added to the Linux kernel that allows you to choose how many threads are in use, with the default being a reasonable 25% to make your computer boot up faster. This is when allocating a large number of huge pages, which will see around 2.75x to 4.3x speedup on Skylake and Cascade Lake systems.

Alongside with this change, there is another interesting patch series that revolved around making the huge pages allocator more reliable than before. It reduces fragmentation to allow larger requests to be met more quickly, while making the operation cheaper.

In the pull request linked above, you can find a list of patch series that are merged to the Linux 6.15 source code.

🚀 Oh look, made 10x faster! 🎉 Now you can watch your break your code at warp speed instead of just plain fast! Meanwhile, the article reads like an over-caffeinated intern accidentally copy-pasted the internet into a blog post. 🤦‍♂️

Unveiling : One of the Most Meaningful Events in Life Associated with Improved in Swedish Users, Kajonius et al (2025):

"58% of the sample ranked their experience among the top 5 most meaningful events in their lives, while 85% among the top 10. These findings align well with previous research. Participants acknowledged challenging and mystical aspects... and a large majority, 94%, reported positive ..."

doi.org/10.1080/02791072.2024.

This is the Figure 2 of the paper. The title is: The psychedelic experience and self-reported impact.

"Figure 2 presents to what extent the psychedelic experience was regarded as challenging and mystical. The intensity of challenge was approximately normally distributed with 48% rating over 3.0 (on the 1–5 scale). This indicated that about half the sample felt the experience to be challenging. The intensity of mysticism was more pareto-distributed with 70% rating over 3.0, 39% above 4.0 and 24% above 4.5 (on the 1–5 scale). This indicated that a clear majority experienced mystic elements. additionally also illustrates the subjective outcomes of the experience in terms of combined negative after-effects (e.g., anxiety, insomnia). 95% reported no negative effects. 4.5% reported some negative effects and less than 0.5% (n = 2) reported strong negative effects. The combined improved life outcome (e.g., family, friends, self, nature, and life) showed that 94% reported better lives (over 3.0) and that 45% reported on the highest possible scale category, “completely better.” In addition, bivariate zero-order correlations showed that a challenging experience was associated with being mystical (r = .52), and furthermore, a mystical experience was, in turn, correlated with reported improvements in life (r = .32)."
