Inzwischen las ich in einem FAZ-Interview von 2011, dass Seamus Heaney dort in einer Doppelhaushälfte wohnte. Wahrscheinlich (?) war Nummer 192 Strand Road die andere Hälfte.

Dann könnte der in Spanien gefundene Gedichtband seinem Nachbarn gehört haben. Außer, es war eine Nachbarin.😉

📖 In einer spanischen Hotel-Bibliothek entdeckte eine Freundin einen Gedichtband von Seamus Heaney. Sie schickte mir das Foto vom Vorsatzblatt, weil ich früher mal in der Nähe der Strand Road in Dublin gewohnt habe.

Steht da Hausnummer 192 oder 191? 🤔 Einer solchen Recherche kann ich nur schwer widerstehen.

On the 19 May 1966 Seamus Heaney’s first collection of poetry "Death of a Naturalist" was published by Faber and Faber. The first poem in the book was "Digging". It also contained "Blackberry-Picking" and "Mid-Term Break".

Heaney was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995 for "works of lyrical beauty and ethical depth, which exalt everyday miracles and the living past".
