Man, the #tariffs are really screwing over the #boardgaming community. A $15 billion (2023) annual US market, circling down the drain.

It's hard to keep track of everyone with current unfulfilled #kickstarters, but anyone sitting with products in China is most likely fucked. Which means the companies behind, #SpiritIsland #Gloomhaven #Wingspan #ShadowsofBrimstone #HoMM3 #Middara etc.

I hope the community can recover, but too many indies rely on the US market to survive (economies of scale).

A thread seeking suggestions/inspirations for future #minispainting! Painted the skin & bones of my #ShadowsOfBrimstone undead with the Contrast paint Plaguebearer Flesh for thematic consistency. When I get to the various Vampires, I want them to have the same visually distinct, inhuman skin tone.

All skin and bones were painted with Plaguebearer Flesh Contrast paint.

Today, the serpentmen were treated in a comparable way like the swamp slugs yesterday. The minis are besides some minor corrections and a varnish ready for deployment as well.

The swamp slugs were drybrushed and got some colors, after drying they receive a varnish and are ready to scare some heroes in the swamps of Jargono.

the Scafford Highwaymen from Shadows of Brimstone, 6 cthulhoid mutant men with rifles and bags of loot, old west style.

During the stay in town, the hero posse was contacted and hired to create a map of a mine. It turned out to be a trap, a T-junction right behind the entrance uncovered two portals.

One portal led into swamps, which the heroes were not comfortable with. Tempted by fire from the other portal, they decided to search for artifacts in caverns full of lava. All survived, but two of them ended up with mutations of their bodies.

Wooden table full of SoB tiles, tokens, cards and further materials. The tiles form 3 maps: A mine entrance with two portals, a portal with a passage into the swamps of Jargono, and a portal into a maze through the caverns of Cynder.

A newly formed hero posse, consisting of a gunslinger, a saloon girl, a rancher, as well as an indian scout discovered a local mine and found a large deposit of dark stone. Thanks to an explosive barrel, all enemies could be killed and the heros were able to take a significant amount of dark stone out of the mine. No mutations were observed and they celebrated the success in a close by town. Their adventures will continue.
