I had the automation that went "all #Shelly plugs on" and "all plugs off". It worked from an automation perspective. But this led to the Apple TV booting without connecting to the TV; which stayed asleep. That stinks because one needs to then use the TV remote controller to turn it on and switch to HDMI.

Hopefully, #HomeAssistant provides a "delay" object that can be included in the automation.

It is now set as "power on TV, power on Soundbar, wait 2 seconds, power on Apple TV". And everything works as expected by us, Muggles!

I've got another #Shelly 3EM-63 Gen3 to measure the power usage of my water heater.
It's installed correctly (I checked three times), however it doesn't measure correctly.

When i turn on the water heater, phases A and C only measure about 50% of the load of B (~3500 vs. 6400 watts), and also i have to reverse the measurement direction of A and C, otherwise they measure negative current.

What did i do wrong?

Nach wenigen Wochen lieferte der #Shelly-Sensor plötzlich keine Daten mehr vom #Balkongarten. Die Fehlersuche offenbarte ein Problem, das gar nicht existieren dürfte und ich musste die Lösung schnell umbauen, um nicht zu viele Daten zu verlieren.

ich würde dir #shelly empfehlen.. die laufen mit #homeassistant nur im heimischen netz meist per wlan.

So got my #Shelly Power Strip installed yesterday. I plugged my TV, Soundbar, AppleTV and fish tanks on it.

• everything is discovered and integrated smoothly in #HomeAssistant.
• power consumption and management is done "per outlet".
• light intensity is global over the whole power strip.

Using a Xiaomi/Aqara switch and/or an automation, I can now switch on/off the TV+Soundbar+AppleTV. While fish tanks go on/off from another time-based automation.

I could see that those equipment use ~0W while in sleep. While kills somehow the need for a global on/off switch :D Anyway, that's probably a few mW spared; unless the power strip use those to be managed...

Funny thing is how few Watts the AppleTV uses to display 1080p/4K movies. As expected, the TV is what eats the more W.

Gerade erstmal den Shelly an der Infrarot Heizung in meinem Homeoffice so eingestellt das er nach 20min automatisch wieder ausgeht. Letztes Jahr zu oft vergessen das Ding auszuschalten.

Er hangen nu 9 #Shelly energiemeters achter 9 thermostaten voor de infraroodpanelen. Per meter zie je wat het stroom verbruik is per periode in kWh. Nu wil ik dat voor die 9 opgeteld zien. Onder menu item "Energie" in HA heb ik onder 'apparaten' de meters bij elkaar gezet. Dan krijg ik dit:
Nu wil ik eigenlijk een export kunnen maken naar een .csv bestand om het verbruik van de IR panelen per maand te kunnen bijhouden. Hoe doe ik dat in #ha ?

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van de Shelly app, zo werd de meter door de app - via Bluetooth?- herkend en gekoppeld en daarna kon HA de meter via WIFI koppelen. Ik vraag me af of het ook direct, zonder de tussenstap van de Shelly-app kan. > Na install In de app de meter losgemaakt van de cloud.
