@janbartosik I can recommend Browar Miejski Sopot (browarmiejskisopot.pl/). It's in #Sopot, easily accessible from Gdańsk by #train.

Resident streets are intended to serve mainly residents, calm traffic, be friendly to pedestrians and cyclists and, to a minimum, allow parking for resident cars. Interesting examples of the so-called woonerf (dutch concept of residential streets) from the polish cities of and 👍🤔🙂🇵🇱

Collect moments, not things. 🌊

To kind of thematically fit with @jon's #velocity2025 coverage, here's some highlights of the story of Pomerania's public bike-sharing service, #Mevo:
The wild ride started when Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area (an intercommunal cooperation org) awarded a contract for setting up the system to Nextbike. Together, they promised thousands of bikes, all of them electric, for the insanely low price of 10 PLN/month for 90 minutes a day (or 0.10 PLN/min without a subscription). Additionally, a sort of deposit system operated for leaving bikes outside a station - doing so would cost 3 PLN, while someone taking the bike back to a station would get 2 PLN back in credit: trojmiasto.pl/wiadomosci/Mevo-

loc.gov/pictures/item/20027140

The image depicts a historical scene from the early 19th century, featuring an old pier extending into calm waters. The bridge appears to be made of wood with metal railings and is populated by numerous people engaging in various activities such as walking, conversing, or enjoying leisurely strolls.

Children are seen playing on the beach near the bottom left corner; their attire suggests a time period before modern clothing styles became popular. On the pier itself, individuals wear early 20th-century fashion with men donning hats and women wearing long dresses characteristic of that era's style.

Several boats can be observed in the water surrounding the bridge: one closer to the foreground seems to have people on it, possibly engaged in fishing or transportation activities.

In terms of color, the image is monochromatic, predominantly featuring shades of beige and brown which suggest an aged photograph. The composition captures a moment from daily life during that era, portraying social interactions at what appears to be a popular coastal destination.

The image depicts a vintage postcard featuring an early 20th-century pier in what appears to be the town of Zoppot, located on West Prussia's coast, now part of present-day Sopot, Poland. The scene is rendered with delicate color tones and shows several individuals leisurely strolling along the wooden walkway that extends into a body of water.

On either side of the pier are lampposts lined up at regular intervals, suggesting it was used for nighttime illumination as well. In the background, there's an array of buildings indicative of early 20th-century architecture and various flags can be seen fluttering in the breeze from poles atop flagpoles situated along the edge.

The people on the pier are dressed in period-appropriate clothing; women wear long skirts with blouses or dresses while men sport suits. Some children accompany adults, wearing what appears to be early 20th-century attire for kids as well. The sky is a light hue of yellowish-beige, suggesting either dawn or dusk.

The overall ambiance conveyed by the image is one of tranquility and leisurely enjoyment in an era that seems both nostalgic and somewhat romanticized through this medium format postcard representation.

Kurhaus, Zoppot, East Prussia, Germany (i.e., Sopot, Poland) between ca. 1890 and ca. 1900. Views of Germany

#Kurhaus #Zoppot #EastPrussia #Germany #Sopot #Poland #ViewsofGermany #KurhausZoppot #photography #historicalPhotos

loc.gov/pictures/item/20027140

The image depicts an old photograph, possibly from the late 19th or early 20th century. It shows a large and elaborate building with multiple stories, several windows, decorative architectural elements such as columns, arches, and ornate cornices, located in what appears to be Kurhaus Zoppot (present-day Sopot), Poland.

The photograph is taken from an elevated vantage point overlooking the area around the building. In front of it lies a spacious courtyard with pathways where several people are seen walking or standing about. The lawn surrounding these paths and small flower beds, indicating that this could be part of a park within the grounds of Kurhaus Zoppot.

The sky is overcast, giving the image a muted color palette dominated by shades of green from vegetation, greyish tones on the building's facade, and hints of brown in some parts. In the background, beyond the courtyard area with people strolling or sitting around flower beds, there are hills visible under an overcast sky.

In terms of context provided, this photograph was likely taken at a time when Kurhaus Zoppot served as a popular spa town destination, which is consistent with its architectural style and setting.
