Parfois, la nature ne veut pas te laisser passer... Pas de soucis, c'est le jeu en parcourant les montagnes et on remet les baskets pour descendre de notre temps suspendu et remettre ça une prochaine fois.

3 ombres de skieurs de randonnée à la montée sur une pente neigeuse

Looking down the route up #Kirchspitze from Gmünd in #Austria earlier this year, in the abandoned Fürstalm ski area. My biggest #splitboard #hike so far at around 1100m vertical, starting at 2.45am and finishing around 8.15am.

Another magical trip out with the #Maverix crew, and an awesome route to #snowboard back down.

Three splitboarders in the distance, hiking up to a plateau, one of numerous false summits on the way to Kirchspitze. Distant mountains are lightly covered by a hazy layer of cloud which would soon burn away as the sun came up. The ground is slightly wind scoured snow, but quite deep. It is somewhere around 8am.

A red and black volume-shifted splitboard (a snowboard which splits into touring skis) leans against the lockers of an indoor snowdome in the UK. It is has small patches of snow on it and has just smashed moguls for three hours. Its owner is both impressed and achy. 😁

Season of turns are just around the corner! Where will the flow go, deciding now what to manifest and how to take action for it.

Wagering if I should travel again this winter or stay more local. Remote work is lined up, bills at a minimum, travel fund secured, where can I be most effective? Shifting my mindset more on systems rather than goals. Just thinking out loud on this #MountainMonday Planning for the next phase.

While I studied #molecularbiology, I've spent most of the last 2 decades at the Mont-Mégantic ASTROLab/ Nat'l Park doing science/astronomy outreach, before going full-time against light pollution.
