Having spent the last few days surround by the incredible NHS staff of my local hospital I honestly canβt imagine being without them and find it absolutely disgraceful how they have been treated and underfunded over consecutive UK governments.
A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said: βWe hugely value the work of nurses"...
but we won't pay them what they deserve, need, and are owed after repeated negative increases because of the high inflation this government has created.

Having attended the Day Surgery Unit at Castle Hill Hospital (Cottingham) yesterday, I have only praise & admiration for all the staff there. Doctors, nurses, aneasthetists, admin - everyone was cheery, helpful & very pleasant. The operation went smoothly. I can't fault anything. I'm at home recovering (well). No GGB gigs until the middle of July.

Last night polling (by Ipsos) found that 54% if the population support the #JuniorDoctors strike.... the Q. is how will this play out during the week?
The media will try to demonise the Junior Doctors, but the problem is that the idea that junior doctors are greedy, does not stack up well against a government of millionaires (and millionaires' friends) & this is a circle it may be hard to square for even the right-media.
The Tories always have money for themselves & their friends but never for the NHS, social services, teachers, school meals for kids or supporting the elderly

Just had some joinery done on my shoulder in a 3.5 hour op. The theatres were full even though it's the weekend.
I can honestly say every single NHS person has been polite, welcoming and professional as they work to reduce the backlog.
It's been an exceptionally positive experience and these people should be paid much more than they are.
As a high earner I would welcome a tax rise to ensure everyone continues to get this kind of service.
