Hey nurses! Did you vote for Trump?

Well, congratulations! You're no longer classified as having a 'professional' degree... meaning you're no longer eligible for various types of GOVERNMENT AID.

You did this.

50,000 nurses. That's the price of Labour's cowardice. 50,000 healthcare professionals driven out by a government that hates immigrants more than it loves the NHS.
Remember that when you're on a waiting list.

Just so we are all aware, #Nursing Excluded as #ProfessionalDegree By #DOE. This field is under fire because the Regime doesn't want to give financial aid to this field. There are programs that allow you to work in a low-income area and get your tuition paid off.

If you work there for like 2 years. I worked for #FAFSA. Theyre doing this because its a female-dominated field.
This job pays well (still could be better), and women can leave and not live under a man's thumb. So by discrediting it, less money for scholarships, less other aid, and lessw

people in an already struggling field. Yes, they want us home, married to our abusive spouses, and make it so we can't leave. Please spread the word.

#education, #socialwork, #publichealth, #physicianassistant, #occupationaltherapy, #audiology, #speechlanguage, #business master, #engineering masters, #Counseling All of these jobs are female-dominated, and alot of these jobs are mandatory reporters. There are alot of #nurses who're maga, so thanks

If you are a medical care provider and you are confused as to why some of your patients might be hostile, please consider removing your head from your asshole. I know you probably believe you're one of the "good guys", stalwartly providing care through a broken system, while in actuality you're very much helping prop up the broken system taking advantage of everyone in the country. Sorry, not sorry, if that makes you feel bad. #healthcare #doctors #nurses

Achetez le timbre antituberculeux [1917]
1 print : lithograph, color ; 80 x 60 cm. (poster format) | A nurse watching children playing outdoors.

loc.gov/pictures/item/99613735/

The image is a vintage poster from 1917, titled "Achetez le timbre antituberculeux." It depicts an illustration of a nurse in white attire with a red cross on her chest. She stands next to a railing overlooking a scene where children are playing by the water's edge and two men wearing hats appear to be observing them from afar.
The poster is predominantly colored, showcasing green trees, blue sky, and brown ground, which suggest an outdoor setting during daylight hours. The nurse is holding onto the railing with her left hand while resting it on a ledge or wall in front of her right arm. She has dark hair under her white headscarf but no visible facial features.
In the background scene, there are several children engaged in various activities such as swimming and walking along the edge of what appears to be a pond or river. Two men with hats can also be seen standing at some distance from each other behind one of the women who is observing them. The overall atmosphere seems light-hearted and carefree.
The text on the poster reads "Achetez le timbre antituberculeux" which translates to "Buy the tuberculosis stamp." This implies that the purpose of this poster was likely an awareness campaign or fundraising effort for tuberculosis-related causes during World War I.

Will Labour's plans on immigration have the effect of prompting a mass exodus from nursing in the NHS?

Certainly this is what some in the nursing profession expect, with foreign born nurses having to wait longer for residence & fulfil higher demands.

As so often pandering to the Right is likely to have a major impact in things most of us (not just any remaining Labour supporters) hold dear.

Labour is looking to score yet another own goal!

Women at War by Elizabeth Norman, 2010

The Story of Fifty Military Nurses Who Served in Vietnam

Norman tells the dramatic story of fifty women—members of the Army, Navy, and Air Force Nurse Corps—who went to war, working in military hospitals, aboard ships, and with air evacuation squadrons during the Vietnam War.

Here, in a moving narrative, the women talk about why they went to war, the experiences they had while they were there, and how war affected them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

"I hope with the strike, the public and management see that we are not trying to cause problems," Tenille Nason, an emergency department nurse at HRH, told Newsweek in an interview. "We truly believe in this cause. We truly believe patient care is suffering because they are not listening to what [nurses] are saying."

University Medical Center nurses kick off 3-day strike

New Orleans, LA – On November 11, dozens of nurses represented by National Nurses United held a picket line demanding retention, an end to merit-based raises, and good faith contract negotiations. This three-day strike marks the fifth since University Medical Center (UMC) nurses won their union in December 2023. The New Orleans Nurses United is the first private-sector healthcare workers union to form in Louisiana.

So my main thoughts are, I wouldn't want to be in a shared changing room, like for gym/ PE at school and the awful changing room Miss Selfridge had when I was younger and thinner. I'd probably just go and get changed in a toilet cubicle where no one could see me!! Although the chance of me desiring to work as a nurse is about minus 100% anyway.

My solution is installing some curtains/ cubicles, and not to waste time going to court.

I remember when this country was banging pots and pans for the Nurses and now a few years later this is how the White people of Britain treat them. The fucking shame of it.

The Royal College of Nursing said the fear created by the flags was part of an
alarming wider picture. Prof Nicola Ranger, the union’s general secretary,
said: “A sustained campaign of anti-migrant rhetoric is fuelling a growing
cesspool of racism, including against international and ethnic minority
nursing staff, without whom our health and care system would simply cease
to function.

“Those working in the community feel especially vulnerable and employers
have a duty to ensure they are protected.
