(Even though I'm biased) it's an excellent representation of how close collaboration with employers, combined with our skill in building courses that meet apprenticeship standards, can generate tangible benefits for employers and the people they serve (in this instance children with potential hearing issues).
The NHS needs a better workforce plan:
Mammography; vacancy rates - 17.5% for screening mammographers, nearly 20% for symptomatic mammographers;
Diagnostic Radiography - vacancies up from 12% to 13% over the past year, alone;
Clinical Radiology; 31% shortfall projected to rise to 41% within five years.
all of which leads to delays in diagnosis & treatment & worse patient outcomes!
The NHS is not holding on to, or appointing enough doctors!
As the debate about the role & use of patient records continues to be refracted through question about how patient data might be commercialised by firms accessing it, the issue of accuracy remains a major problem that needs to be resolved.
Research by Healthwatch England has found an alarming & clearly dangerous level of inaccuracies in patents' records impacting diagnosis & treatment
