У меня так валялся планшет Amazon Fire HD 6 (Ariel), он 2014 года. На досках объявлений такой стоит около тысячи рублей — ищется по фразе «amazon fire планшет». Как‑то раз я увидел в магазине фоторамку и сразу же подумал про этот старый планшет. Но конечно, самое простое было просто купить готовую фоторамку. Или попробовать без всякой перепрошивки воспользоваться Fire Toolbox чтобы получить расширенный контроль над системой. Но FireOS заточена под amazon, а для меня это не актуально. А ещё мне было интересно не только увеличение скорости от чистого Android вместо FireOS, но и сам процесс перепрошивки, потому что раньше были времена, когда я активно менял прошивки (ROMs) на своем основном телефоне, экспериментировал с ядрами и модами. Конечно, рационально — это глупость. Но если вы любите ломать железо — вам сюда. И мне снова захотелось пройти этот квест от получения полного доступа через уязвимость до установки чистого Android. With FreeTube on my Secureblue desktop, I sometimes search for GrapheneOS videos and sort the results by the most recent uploads, and today, I came across a video that shows you how to install GrapheneOS on a Galaxy S20 FE.

It’s important to note that this setup is strongly adviced against, not supported or recommended. What’s being shown in that video is an unofficial port, and unfortunately, it misrepresents what GrapheneOS stands for.

Running an unlocked bootloader on unsupported hardware poses significant risks, especially using tools like TWRP in this context, and these kinds of ports can harm the project’s reputation.

I'm not sure why I do it but I'm working on a slightly crazy project and a small part of that involves installing @postmarketOS on a Samsung A5 2017 (a5y17lte) which I got off eBay for £7 as it had a shattered screen.

Cue a rabbit hole for the last 4 days where I have wrestled the pmbootstrap, solved a bug which has stopped many downstream devices working recently, and then learnt all about adb sideloading and #twrp and #lineageos and finally today I have an installation of #postmarketos running connected over usbnet.

I don't know why I do it to myself... Now to write it up as don't want to have to relearn that all again

TWRP on Android - Question

I'm trying to install Lineage OS onto my Moto E 2020 Ginna XT2052-1. I got my bootloader unlocked, plus USB support and ADB on my Linux PC. I'm using this guide:

When I flash TWRP like this
$ fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.5.1_10-0-ginna.img

It says OKAY finished. But when I try and boot into TWRP from recovery it gets stuck in a loop trying to do the normal Android boot. I have to get back to recovery to break the loop.

Детально и подробно, с разных сторон разобран процесс загрузки Android-систем нескольких версий, включая #LineageOS и виды сборок прошивок.
Рассмотрен подход к работе #Magisk и варианты получения root'а разными средствами с учётом контекстов #SELinux, а так же работа через #adb (в каких случаях имеет root'привелегии).
Статья большая, но полезная с точки зрения «получить представление» без упрощений, а с техническими деталями.

TL;DR
Глупо выключать устройство, когда остаётся без присмотра, а описываемый сценарий не касается уже работающего (загруженного полностью, включённого) девайса. Если же устройство неожиданно оказалось выключенным, то нельзя включать и вводить пин\пароль. Сперва надо проверить содержимое разделов (на тот или иной вариант «нагрузки»). Т.е. включать через fastboot, прошивать заново рекавери (#TWRP или #OrangeFox) и прошерстить\восстановить разделы.

Очень наглядно видно зачем в ОС нужны такие вещи как mandatory access control (MAC):
• #SELinux (авторство АНБ США),
• #AppArmor (via Novell & Immunix),
• российский аналог в AstraLinux.
