@tchambers Many times a #Bluesky user seems to be replying to or reposting something I can’t see. I assume it’s because the poster is not bridged. Disheartening. Does not seem to be as bad with #Theads.

@rocinante@masto.es Con el aviso de #Meta utilizando el contenido de sus usuarios de #Facebook e #Instagram para alimentar su #IA, muchos artistas gráficos se están creando cuenta en una que se llama #Cara, pero vamos, que no es la primera vez que pasa este intento de mudanza que al final acaba en nada (#Theads, #Bluesky...) porque la peña no adquiere conciencia con el tema de que el problema es de raíz; la solución está en tomar control de sus plataformas e interconectarlas con protocolos abiertos.

Because this is an election year in the US, and given the influence of social media I thought it would be worthwhile to share this NPR "Fresh Air" podcast from October 9, 2018 titled "The 'Weaponization' Of Social Media — And Its Real-World Consequences"

Given the anonymity social media provides hate speech and other abuses are becoming more common place. The best advise I can offer and which I am following is don't feed the trolls, and by that I mean do not react or reply to their comments because if you do, you will only fuel their egos and hate.

Sur #Theads beaucoup de personnes parlent directement à « l’algorithme » pour lui demander des faveurs. Un peu comme des prières destinées à un dieu.

Na sowas. Nach sechs Monaten auf der Warteliste schickt mir heute Bluesky einen invitieren Code. Das hat bestimmt was mit dem Auftreten von Threads zu tuen. Da herrscht wohl gerade Panik.
