I just spent ten minutes in old code trying to remember what WordPress transients are called.

TIL: While creating a new site in a multisite, you cannot properly work with site transients since wp_installing() returns true and thus only uses the object cache and never checks the database.

So beware if you need to rely on this while not using an object cache.

Workaround: use a site option instead.

First attempt at plotting #pulsar profile data from a down-loaded ATNF data file (public domain). Left plot is mine - right is ATNF preview. Basic code done without AstroPy - which seems to choke on multi-GB files (common in #radioastronomy ) - besides, having to actually learn the FITS format is a plus. BTW - if you thought parsing the filterbank format was 'fun' - try parsing the FITS format...😉
