Okay - cartoons, but non-episodical ones? Does that mean they have a sequential order rather than an episodic plot structure (i.e. monster of the week) or like, movies, which are self-contained? Tell me about your favs!

In my mind, episodical means monster of the week, so yes - non-episodical thereby means chronological order, plot focused. I have nothing against episodical series, but as I got mostly attached to characters through their arcs and development, I'm disappointed when they get no room to grow.

My favs, huh? Ok, here we go. A list of some you should check out if you like cartoons like what I described (or rather the invert of what I don't like haha):

Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts. Seriously underrated. Self contained, short and sweet (2 seasons). Apocalypse of animal mutants, music, shenanigans and about believing in the good in people.
Hilda. Mostly episodic, but the further along, the more chronological it gets. Very cozy, scandinavian flavoured nature magic, mostly focused on mysterious critters. A lot of adcenture, sometimes (in the later episodes) heart ache and a lot of good, intelligent writing. 3 seasons and a feature film between S2 and S3.
She-Ra and the princesses of power. Besides the sometimes rather toxic relationship dynamics, this is a 5 Season (with ending!) fantasy action/adventure cartoon. Very gay, very engaging, very heart ache, very good! Basically chosen one fights against former friend and has to unlearn her trauma. O boy, trauma. And fun! --- check out Nimona also, a Film by Nate Stevenson, the maker of former mentioned SPOP! It is G.O.A.T.!
The Owl House. My absolute FAV! Nerd gets isekai'ed into a not so nice (and actually fascist) witch world and finds a family there. Gay! Bit episodic, but gets enormously more chronolgical after the 2nd half of S2 (bc that was when the writers where told by Disney the third season would only be 3 specials because gay oh no /s). Very antifascist, very twisty about fantasy tropes, very heartfelt. Go watch! --- also you can check out the Knights of Guinevere Pilot on youtube, by Dana Terrace, maker of former mentioned TOH! Show is greenlit! :D

Arcane (major recommendation! no need to have ever engaged with League of Legends, bc I haven't and don't plan to) (2 seasons </3)
Helluva Boss (2 Seasons) + the hotel one i forgor name (1 Season)
Maya and the three (1 Season i think)
The amazing digital circus (1 season </3)
Deadend Paranormal Park (2 seasons </3 got cancelled damn)
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (2 seasons (i think), same treatment as former mentioned DPP)
Carmen Sandiego (the Remake, 2 seasons, one interactive special episode)
Watership down (the Remake, 1 season)
The Dragon Prince (5 seasons? stopped counting and have to catch up)
Avatar the Last Airbender (4 seasons) + The Legend of Korra (3 seasons maybe?)
Centaur World (2 seasons)
The Dark Crystal - Era of Resistance (ok this is (very sick!!!) hand puppetry but still) (1 season and a movie as origin)
Miraculous (#true-fan-who-hates-everything-about-it™ but actually S6 rocks so far) (6 Seasons and lotta specials and bells'n whistles, still ongoing, about 70% episodical)

There's most definitely some I'm forgetting, but those are the ones I can think of right now. You can also drop some recs below (in the severely unlikely chance I haven't already heard of or even watched them - yes, I wanna watch Infinity Train and Over The Garden Wall some day QwQ)
