Get ready for .NET Conf 2025 on November 11th!

As we are approaching to the final release of .NET 10.0, a conference for .NET developers has been finally set to be scheduled for November 11th, and this event lasts three days up to November 13th. This conference talks about what’s new in .NET 10.0 and Visual Studio 2026, where they both introduce new features and improvements to enhance your developer experience.

The below main events will happen in this conference:

November 11th (8 AM to 6 PM PST): This is a big day for .NET developers where .NET 10.0 and Visual Studio 2026 will be showcased for new features and improvements, as well as the Code Party that you can win some great prizes.
November 12th (9 AM to 5 PM PST): This showcases a deep dive into .NET, Azure, and AI.
November 13th (5 AM to 5 PM PST): This is a community event with speakers around the world.

After the main events, there comes two additional days, which are the Student Zone on November 14th that is a beginner-friendly virtual event where experts teach you how to build awesome projects using C# and .NET, and November 13th to 15th where the community events are held.

Поняла, в чём проблема. Если цикл идёт от 1 до 3, то на выходе из него переменная будет равна 4. Никогда раньше не использовала переменную из цикла после выхода из него, так что не задумывалась об этом. Судя по документации, в конце итерации значение переменной плюсуется, после чего проверяется: если переменная меньше или равна конечному значению, то выполняется следующая итерация, иначе – выход. Тоесть, условием выхода является превышение конечного значения, а, если конечное значение – самое большое для данного типа переменной, то происходит переполнение. Ну и самое большое значение Long – 0x7FFFFFFF, а самое маленькое – 0x80000000, так что понятно, почему у меня переменная как бы перескакивала к началу цикла. #программизм #vb

Столкнулась с неожиданной проблемой.
Есть тип данных Long, который принимает значения от -2'147'483'648 до 2'147'483'647. Если взять пустой цикл от меньшего к большему, то оно сначала пробегает все значения, а потом случается ошибка 6 – «Overflow». Значение переменной из цикла в этот момент равняется -2'147'483'648.
Что характерно, в VBA та же история.
Ещё интересно, что, если вписать значение -2'147'483'648 в редакторе кода, то он автоматом в конце впишет «#», тоесть укажет, что это значение типа Double. Если подставить «&», тоесть, что это Long, то редактор начнёт выдавать ошибку «Expected: expression». А вот с -2'147'483'647 уже всё в порядке.

I for one do not welcome our new AI Overlords. Yesterday CoPilot suggested this snippet (in gray) to me. The AltText contains the thing that is obviously wrong about this suggestion, but even if I were to convert the suggestion to the incorrect syntax, it is suggesting members on routeCpMap that do not exist.

The suggested code is "routeCpMap → routeCpMap.Key.RouteGUID = routeId", which is a LINQ Lambda appropriate for a C# language file. The problem is that this project is written in VB.net.
