@mariusor @pete It would be nice to see, but I don’t think it is really necessary. The IOC made its rule and I’ve always felt that #CycloCross just didn’t fit and accepted it. And I still really enjoy the Winter Olympics.

The #ValDiSole race isn’t one I will miss. I found it too manufactured and more of a gimmick. As I think @mariusor is saying, it was introduced to make a round sport fit into a square hole.

Wout van Aert started his short #cyclocross season in #Essen, Belgium today. For the first 25mins, he happily followed some wheels at the sharp end of the race before accelerating away from anyone and living up to his role as the big race favourite.
2nd place for Jens Adams, 3rd for Thijs Aerts who is the only rider to take the trip all the way to #ValdiSole for tomorrow's worldcup race. After today's Flemish mud, the race in Italy will be held on snow. #cycling, not crosscountry skiing...

Quelle lunghe giornate domenicali che iniziano alle 6 di mattina, le trascorri in montagna, tra la neve e la buona aria, con un gruppo di amici tra risate e aneddoti, e tutto prosegue pranzando in rifugio, tra una birretta e l’altra, poi tutti sotto gli ultimi raggi del sole prima del tramonto, e giù di nuovo verso la macchina all’imbrunire , sperando che tutto possa non finire mai.

Attimi di pura vita.
