I think, at least for me, this is the perfect use for #AI in coding. It avoids the problems of #AISlop, because I'm the one writing the actual code so I know what every single line does. Nothing is #vibecode. But I'm still getting benefits from #AI.
However, there are obviously still the environmental effects and ethical concerns about #GenAI to take into account, and I can't exactly say that my conscience is clear in that regard...
Another #vibecode project using Claude Code. This time fully on my phone. I never found a weather app widget that showed the data I wanted so Claude made me one. It's js that you run in scriptable on iOS and load as a medium widget. You will need a free weatherapi.com key if you want the weather-warning functionality, but it fails gracefully without it. It annoyingly slow at times and the reasoner seems to go off into the weeds sometimes
But I gave up on poking it with as stick as it gets there in the end.
But given how miserly #claude pro compute is it's concerning...
...my fix is going to be to upgrade to Claude excelsior (whatever it's called) before the next project.

OoO Microsoft apparently managed to finally add an actual feature people have been requesting for years.
You now finally can install Windows (Server) onto ReFS instead of NTFS volumes.
Hope they didn't #vibecode that support too. Filesystems were already quite messy beforehand.

@JessTheUnstill Yes. One thing that I believe #ai can not change is that better programmers get the work done with fewer lines of code.
I keep hearing about #vibecode pull requests with thousands of lines of code.
That was never acceptable, before, because we already understood that lines of code carry a maintenance burden.
Suddenly we treat it like #ai will magic away the maintenance costs.
I'm seeing the increase in security breaches already, but I suspect we currently only learn about the obvious easily detected stuff.
As often happens with interesting new technology, I suspect that the costs are going to be firmly embedded in our systems before the risks are well understood by decision makers.

2. Part of the MD file is writing every delta into
a ./DOCS and ./BACKUPS
Not only you have every .release you can roll back in source code, but you have every delta in DOCS

As an old fart, I liked the promise of allowing me to code again, which is a young person's game (3 all nighters in a row fuelled by caffeine and ambition)
But the speed at which #Ai code is moving...while not asymptotic...makes it super intimidating for an older brain. Just as I get basics...new evolutionary feature drops.
