New lens time! Got a Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 AF lens for my Fujifilm camera, coz I love tiny lenses, and coz it was discounted - and I’m loving it :3
It really makes the camera pocketable, yet takes great pictures. Despite the smol aperture it has alright bokeh in the background when shooting up close, and for distant shooting there’s not much depth separation, so that doesn’t look that different from shooting on phone - except it’s still attached to a Fuji camera, with its film simulation, APS-C sensor, and all the control over shooting details.
The autofocus is fast but jumpy, so I suppose not really suitable for video, but it’s great for photo. It seems very precise, so the images are nice and sharp ^^ The image quality is very good in general, no vignetting or distortion in corners, kinda surprising for such a tiny lens.
Another cool feature is the built-in lens cap: fast to open, won’t accidentally lose it, and doesn’t use extra space in front of the lens. The only downside is that it can easily be accidentally opened when getting it into / out of a bag or pocket.
I think it will be great for sightseeing purposes or as an everyday carry ^^
Also featured: quick release straps! Now I can quickly swap between wrist- and neck straps, and also got the dangly parts for two cameras, so can share the straps between two :3
