On of our kids killed their iPhone. These things happen. And we still have an older model as spare.

But this time round, I'm very reluctant to get a permanent replacement. I'm not ready to leave the Apple ecosystem altogether, but I'm very much not prepared at this time to spend actual money on a replacement.

I don't want to invest in more proprietary technology that is drifting in a direction I would not want to go.

I love my home v60 brews, but every time I have coffee outside my house, I always wonder why everyone is so obsessed with Starbucks coffee. First of all, it’s very expensive, and the coffee is bad! There are so many better places. Look at Tchibo, they have cheaper prices, better coffee, and it’s a European brand (Germany).

There's a gas station down the road (the only gas station within six miles of our home), they posted a picture of the Trump bus parked out in front of their business back in 2019.

We've lived here almost four years and we've never spent a nickel there and we never will.

Surprised me the companies that are on this list as supporting Project 2025 enabling all the chaos and catastrophe destroying the US economy/reputation/people right now.
Enablers every one of them. And would probably do the same in Canada given the chance.
Particularly ironic all the car companies, beer companies with their industries being destroyed by the guy they supported.
Quite the list.

I think I take ”vote with your money” a bit further than most people.

I would never buy a Tesla because Musk is a nazi. I don’t buy Mendelez products because they support Russia. Google products or services won’t come near my home, and Amazon is always the last choice. I never pay with Klarna and I don’t listen to Spotify.

But I do buy fairtrade. I always choose ecological and when I buy eggs, always from chickens that have been roaming free outside.

If I was traveling this summer in the USA, two states that I would definitely be boycotting are Texas and Florida.

There's 48 other states that aren't so anti-everything that offer interesting and fun destinations.

I'm sure there are a few others that I may add to my personal boycott list as I pay more attention, but those two are definitely at the top.
