I'm way late to the news that the enshittification of streaming video platforms has caused a massive resurgence of unlicensed content sharing ("piracy"), but in streaming rather than download form. I haven't investigated this enough to understand how it is financially feasible for these streaming pirate sites to exist. Are they ad-funded? Bittorrent made sense back in the day because the bandwidth costs were spread among the end users.
