Das war ein wirklich schöner Abend gestern, am Freitag.
Das #PriesholzEnsemble , ein #AcappellaChor , bestehend aus jungen Sänger*innen gab sich die Ehre, in der schönen #Kirche von #Kappeln .

Eine Stunde wirklich feiner Gesang, von historischen Stücken bis hin zu #Wellerman und anderen #Shantys .

Danke dafür. Und nächstes Jahr ... Wirklich gerne wieder.

Als heut nachmittag im Gelände gegenüber ein Song intoniert wurde, der mich an etwas lang Zurückliegendes erinnerte, brauchte ich eine ganze Weile, um festzustellen: Der #Wellerman wird jetzt auch mit deutschem Text gesungen …

Die Tage noch kurz zwischengeschoben: "The Book of Sea Shanties" (2021) von Nathan Evans, dem Menschen, dem wir den #Wellerman-Hype zu verdanken hatten. Die Zeichnungen sind nett, die kleinen Anekdoten zu den Songs anfangs lehrreich, später arg repetitiv. Als erster Einstieg in diese Welt ganz okay, aber mehr auch nicht. Was macht der Autor eigentlich heute so? 🤔

Das Buch auf einem schwarzen Tisch: blaues Hardcover ohne Schutzumschlag, in dunkelblau mit Goldlettern für den Titel und der Illustration eines Dreimasters im Sturm.
