Well after about five weeks of procrastinating due to travel and cold weather, I got the broken door handle carrier (the part INSIDE the door) replaced on the X5 and now I can open the door from the outside again! It’s a supreme pain in the ass and if I ever meet the beer-chugging Bavarian who designed that fucking thing… grrrr.

You know how you dread doing an upgrade, I mean something could break, the estimated time could be 2X what you think, you might have to roll back, or do some big troubleshooting adventure to get everything reconnected…

And then you run the upgrader, it finishes in 47 SECONDS, the service restarts, spins for 60 seconds, spits happy log messages, reconnects to the console, and you are DONE in about 5 minutes?

And then you spend 20 minutes testing and validating that it couldn't have been that easy…
