The street in front of our house in Ōsaka Prefecture was getting dug up, so I took a leisurely trip over Kyōto's Eastern mountains to Shiga Prefecture near Lake Biwa. One stop was, oh me oh my, Ōmi Jingū Mae station (first photo). The Keihan train goes for cuteness, while there are some amusing place names on that line like Zeze, Matsunobamba (that last part like the old Spanish song), and Anō, a homonym of the common utterance to ask for someone's attention, with kanji characters that would usually be pronounced Anata, which means you, but the meaning of the characters is big hole! Having extra time, I indulged in eating out, and was attracted to the matcha (2nd photo). The other photos are of the regional Shintō shrine Ōmi Jingū (近江神宮), a gorgeous place for marriages and christenings of infants or children.
