Ukraine should abandon any notion of restoring its borders established with the 1991 collapse of Soviet rule or even those dating from the 2022 full-scale Russian invasion, the country's former military commander Valery #Zaluzhnyi was quoted as saying on Thursday.
General Valerii #Zaluzhnyi’s report at the #Ukraine-#UK Defense Industries Forum highlights a fundamental shift in modern warfare:
- Traditional weapons, armored vehicles, GPS-guided precision arms, and manned aviation are becoming obsolete due to cheap drones and electronic warfare.
- A deadly transparent front line halts any offensive movement, freezing the conflict.

I still think that putting #Zaluzhnyi in command of Army military training would have been a good idea.
"The main result of the technologies evolution could obviously be restoration of ability to conduct effective offensives on operative and strategic levels. But the revolution of military technologies based on unmanned systems and artificial intelligence, most likely, will be directed at destruction of strategic military and civil infrastructure throughout the whole country's territory.

General Dmytro #Marchenko admits that the front at #Donbas has collapsed due to personal fatigue of #Ukrainian fighters and lack of reserves, and especially because of chaotic management - after #Zaluzhnyi dismissal, 70 brigade commanders were replaced.
