that sometimes the humble character in the party is doing more than the other characters, and even players, know. At the next session I mentioned the Lasombra, the rest of the group were buzzing with anecdotes. This helped the complaining player reconsider the current game of Aberrant, Damian was playing Gravitas (Strong & Silent), to realise that Damian had done more than they assumed; also to maybe talk with other people and check.

So in today's #Aberrant session, the players faced off against a Christian Supremacist (Christian Solider), a neo Nazi (Black Sun), and an old reactionary (The Silent Majority).

All their powers could be explained by their names.

They got the drop in the reactionary mercenaries, so they kicked a lot of ass.

The prologue story is going to be about fighting off agents of a transphobic governor, whomst is sending out bounty hunters (mercenaries) to arrest an Illinois resident that makes a device that can be used for gender affirming body changes.

Finally ran my first session of Trinity Continuum: Aberrant! The PCs met up and faced off against robots that were randomly attacking protesters.

I'm glad how much all the player characters enjoyed it, considering it's a new system and everyone was figuring everything out. Also considering I haven't run a game in a decade, despite having many years of running games before that.

So last night's #BookClub meeting was curious. Only four of joined and one hadn't read the book, #Aberrant by Czech novelist Marek Sindelka.
Two of us who had read it are native anglophones and read it in English. The third is a Ukrainian woman who read it in Dutch. At a certain point we realised that the Dutch translation (with the title Winter Verdriet - common term for Seasonal Affective Disorder) was a different novel entirely than the one Susan and I had read. #bookstodon 1/
