Sometimes I wish to have my OpenClaw assistant talk directly with my local Claude Code. Then I realise that I don't trust my assistant that much yet.
It can read, analyse and propose things and fix small issues and bugs. I want more control over larger things

I just watched Apple's introductory agentic coding video for Xcode 26.3, and my takeaway is it adds a huge cognitive load to programming.

From my perspective, instead of figuring out how to do something and using that knowledge going forward on future projects, a programmer is reduced to acting as a babysitter to figure out if the agent did things correctly, and then spending a lot of effort reviewing the generated code to see if it is even correct.

More work, less knowledge—agentic coding is not the solution.

There is a lot of negativity going around about agentic coding. In many cases, the negativity is justified, when people with no coding experience push out vibe coding output as is with no quality inspection.
Agentic coding when done right with guardrails, reviews and human reviews is a great efficiency boots.
One of my agents just performed a root-cause analysis, identified and implemented a fix and then created a PR. I verified the initial plan and I reviewed the end result.
The analysis part to determine the real issue is the biggest time saver.
