Apps like Raycast, KRunner, Alfred, and Spotlight are commonly called Application Launchers. They’re so much more than that though. If you really about it — They’re really GUI Command Lines. GCL for short.
@drewmccormack I've seen that with a number of builds pre-Tahoe ass well. Most of the time, I trigger #AlfredApp and I can launch everything I need from there.

I am constantly thinking of an album to listen to next, but it's a giant pain to write it down before i forget about it.
I just created a new #alfredapp workflow to do the following:
- Use a keyword prompt for "playlist”
- Take whatever i type as input and add the current date and time and the text, and append it to an Apple Note called "Playlist”.
Super rudimentary for now, bu this is exactly what I need.
Just created a pretty neat #automation with #AlfredApp that does the following:
Typing “journal” followed by some text designating an entry title creates a new #DayOne and opens the #DayOneApp to that new entry.
j'ai aussi plein de petits snippets de code pour mon blog perso, qui me font gagner des tonnes de temps.
Par exemple, quand je veux ajouter une vidéo à un article, il me suffit d'avoir le lien dans mon presse papier, et de taper ;vid, et magie ! C'est bon.
C'est plus rapide, ça m'évite les fautes de frappe, et je suis sûre que tout est toujours fait de la même manière, avec les mêmes classes CSS, etc.
J'ai aussi des corrections "sans déclencheur", sur des mots sur lesquels je fais tout le temps des fautes de frappe.
Mes raccourcis "normaux" commencent par un caractère déclencheur, par exemple ",eml" est remplacé par mon adresse mail perso (,ftml et ,antml par mes adresses mail pro), mais "alros" est automatiquement remplacé par "alors" et "Nahtalie" par "Nathalie" (oui, je ne sais pas taper mon nom, j'ai 6 correctifs possibles enregistrés :homer:)
La logique, c'est de ne pas retaper plusieurs fois une explication longue. Je la tape une fois, je lui associe un raccourcis, et elle est à dispo quand je veux.
Au pire, si je ne me rappelle pas du raccourcis, je vais la chercher dans Alfred, mais ça a dû m'arriver 2 fois en tout et pour tout.
Les autres trucs qui me font gagner un temps fou au quotidien :
- le nom complet + lien de chacun des trainings que je fais faire à chaque client
- des raccourcis divers de mots que j'orthographie mal 3 fois sur 4 (genre ",UD" => Unstructured Document)
- quelques mails explicatifs que j'envoie régulièrement (explications pour setup un domaine custom, les cookies qu'on utilise et à quoi ils servent, quelques marches à suivre...)
J'ai pas trop professé mon amour total et absolu envers Alfred ici encore, je crois, alors laissez-moi commencer avec la dernière "autocomplétion" que j'ai mis en place :
quand je tape "=14h", Alfred le transforme automatiquement par 2pm CET / 5am PST / 8am EST / 5:30pm IST.
Mes clients sont situés aux US & en Inde, c'est l'enfer pour proposer des créneaux, ça me fait gagner un temps fou de ne plus avoir à chercher et/ou taper toutes les équivalences à chaque fois.

Evangelizing #Alfredapp at my wife's workplace. The gang was actually excited :) It can sure just remove tons of bullshit busywork.
Just de-installed https://www.alfredapp.com/whats-new/ #AlfredApp Company forced an upgrade, and the new version has 'AI' integration.

One of my fav #Alfredapp workflows:
"r <reminder text>"
Adds a new reminder without opening Reminders at all.
Another one: menu search.
"m <text>" looks for <text> in menubar menus, so you can launch with keyboard even commands that do not have keyboard shortcuts. Incredibly, mind-mendingly useful.
(et j'ai aussi 2 ou 3 snippets blague, du genre "Darmanin" qui est remplacé automatiquement par "l'abject Darmanin", ce qui me fait mourir de rire à chaque fois, vu que je ne le tape pas souvent, donc j'oublie d'une fois sur l'autre)
