As mentioned in my blog post, I listened to The Talk Show Live From WWDC 2025.
Loved the #LaunchBar shout-out by @gruber:

I wrote a little about the new Spotlight.

New #LaunchBar Action: Recent #Soulver Sheets.
https://github.com/Ptujec/LaunchBar/tree/master/Recent-Soulver-Sheets
Of all the things introduced yesterday I think #Spotlight is the one I’m most excited about. But in all articles I read they keep referencing #Alfred and #Raycast and only one named #Launchbar, which precedes them, it’s still available and it’s the OG of “Quick Keys” new feature in Spotlight.
Ja! Nunca…
This is really interesting. I'd love to be able to use #AppIntents as building blocks in #Swift scripts or even better something like `LaunchBar.executeAppIntent` in #LaunchBar JS.

@ptujec.bsky.social just wanted to thank you for sharing your #Launchbar actions with everyone.
Often `option` + `command` + `h` is all you need. But sometimes you need a little more to get rid of a cluttered workspace.
I just updated my #LaunchBar action to quit applications based on a predefined context. It now uses the NSWorkspace API instead of AppleScript, which had issues keeping up at times.
Recent Messages in #LaunchBar. Give it a try!

I have to admit, that these days there is very little difference workflow-wise between #LaunchBar and #alfred . Universal actions in the latter have made it somehow a non-issue. I still like LaunchBar's UX more, but I absolutely dread not even writing actions for it, but debugging them. It is a second-thought feature, at best.
I pushed a couple of updates to my #Todoist #LaunchBar action, conforming to the new API and supporting deadlines. I use this daily. It has some unique features like pulling in Mail links. Still, at the core, it is about getting stuff quickly into your inbox.

Drafts is a fantastic application. I mainly use it on my phone. While I don't use it extensively, it is gold for what it does.
As a small thank you, here are two #LaunchBar actions: one for viewing recent drafts and another for searching drafts:

Reader on macOS now supports the same `wiseread://` x-callback-url scheme URLs as the iOS app:
- `wiseread://new` (opens Inbox)
- `wiseread://later` (opens Later)
- `wiseread://shortlist` (opens Shortlist, if that workflow is used)
- `wiseread://archive` (opens Archive)
- `wiseread://search` (opens Search)
- `wiseread://read/{ID}` (opens document by ID)
I've updated my Readwise LaunchBar action to open URLs directly in the Reader app now: https://github.com/quinncomendant/Reade.lbaction
@ctietze I switched to #LaunchBar when Alc0r stopped developing it, but damn, that was about 13-14 years ago as well.
