Did a bit of CW contesting this weekend. At sunrise on 40 en 80m (amazing what difference half an hour makes at sunrise, could easily work even the weakest signals with 100w on 40m) and the higher bands from 14 tot 19z. Fun! #hamcontest #arrldx #cw
#ARRL DX #CW done for another year. Here there was too much absorption on the path to EU, and "enjoyed" copying lots of auroral buzz and flutter. Stns definitely weaker than usual. As a result, numbers were down compared to the past two years (QSO total down ~25% from last year; down ~10% from 2023); but I still get a kick when some far-away station tells me they are running 5W... although I wish that some of them would run a little more 🙂
Mother Nature is causing me to bring out some assistance during the #arrldxCW #arrlDX CW #MorseCode #AmateurRadio #HamRadio contest. #tentec

Another #arrldxcw contest is history. Top-of-the-cycle cndx for the first day here in Colorado, and not much worse for the second (although the openings were noisier and briefer). Hope people got on and enjoyed the cndx for whatever time they could spare over the weekend.

Way less US stations calling this second day of #ARRLDX, dial is full of key clicks and splatter from Europe.
Bonus: I just had a contact with Ward Silver.
10m are delivering the goods, but I don't think I'm going to increase my meagre WAS count (21), maybe Colorado if I'm lucky. #ARRLDX
I'd have to admit that being able to work the US on 40m at 0900 UTC is pretty neat. #ARRLDX
Activity last year in #arrldxcw; cndx sounding good again this year. #cw #radiosport #arrldx
#arrldxcw is this coming weekend. Hope that everyone has a chance to get on and make some QSOs, just for the sheer fun of it.

Activity by state in #arrldx, 2018 to 2023 (sadly, the #arrl never made good on its commitment to me, in 2018, that they would release logs from years prior to 2018): #arrldxcw #arrldxssb #radiosport #cw #ssb
Picked up some good SSB DX this weekend, lots of stations on the air. 10m was hopping, pretty fun for casual s&p to fill some slots! #arrldx
Just a little activity on 10m today #arrldx
