I'd stop for a rest too if I was carrying that much pollen.

Honey bee on a clove currant.

A photo showing several open clove currant blossoms and honey bee right of center on one flower. Some of the flowers have a red ring around the inner tubular structure of the flower. They have 5 yellow petals at the end of a yellow tube. The unopened flowers are long and tubular with a bulbous tip... There are green shiny leaves around the flowers with some of them having red tinting on them.

There's a lot of pollen going into the hives today. Seems to be yellow and that cream or buff colored cedar/arborvitae pollen. I currently have violas/violets on the ground blooming but they're not busy there but It seems there's yellow pollen flowers somewhere that are big enough to cover a bee with pollen.
