Honey bee on black locust flowers.

Saw some honey bees on the rhubarb, maybe 2 or 3. I'll probably give it a few days and cut them off when they start making seeds.

*edit @Spaceways Suggested a Yellow-haired Sun Fly, Myathropa florea, the Batman hoverfly, and they have been identified in the region, and it really looks like one.

Some kind of drone fly I guess. Seems more yellow than most of the photos of the 'Common' one. It's on a chokecherry blossom.

Honey bees on apple blossoms. Both of the Esopus Spitzenburg, or Spitz, are full bloom now and everything else is still blooming with some bee activity.

Honey bees and apple blossoms. Saw a bumble bee too but it had no desire to stay on a blossom for more than a half second.

I'm seeing some honey bees on the hyacinths today. Not sure this is one of my bees, it looks a little different to what I see at the hives. One I saw yesterday getting goose water looked similar and behaved a little hotter than my bees. Lots of movement, maybe bee hand waving. 👋 Maybe Italians? 🤔

My first #BloomscrollingWithBee this year (yesterday)

A clump of purple crocuses is seen in sunshine. A bee hovers at the stamen of the flower closest to the middle of the photo. The stamen is bright orange and so is bee's pollen basket. The petals of the flower are open wide, basking in the sun. Some of the flowers in the middle of the clump are wilting a little bit, their petals wrinkly, but the flowers at the edges of the clump are still new. The background is a little out of focus and consists of brown twigs, sticks, mulch, and a few green leaves of early weeds.
