It’s epic, ambitious, and very well written. Also, it’s the first of a trilogy. Expect more thoughts once I finish it. #LesGuerriersDuSilence #PierreBordage #FrenchSciFi #SpaceOpera #ScienceFiction #FoundationVibes #StarWarsVibes #HyperionVibes #DuneVibes #SFF #BookThread #SciFiBooks

Do I have a #bookthread here on Mastodon? Just finished Benjamín Labatut’s provocative work, The Maniac.

A hand holding a copy of The Maniac by Benjamín Labatut. The book jacket is a picture of a smaller cloud from a fission bomb test.

#bookthread just finished. Do you know #MiriamMargolyes work @carlsoncraft ?
Not for the faint-hearted🤣

27. Who Hurt You, Cracked and Broken book 1 by Chelle Wolfe. This is the kind of dark romance I can get behind. Because apparently being a serial killer is fine as long as you are killing evil people. Don't judge me, the heart wants what it wants. She's the assassin taking out truly awful guys and she has a very terrible past. She merked a member of his family who deserved it. Together, they learn how to pick up each other's broken pieces. #MekaReads #BookThread

25. Stuffed by the Wereturkey by Tate McKirk. 13 pages of bananapants where he's a turkey shifter, but the bottom part stays human and the head is a turkey and she's a member of PETA and honestly just don't ask. Sadly, the opportunity for the title being 'Banged by the Butterball' was missed, but no one asked me. I am a marketing genius. #Bookstodon #bookThread

24. Scream for Us by Molly Doyle. This is the kind of dark romance I can get behind. Yeeting bullies off the Earth? Check. People dressed up in Halloween villain masks? Check. The heroien getting to have all of them? Triple check. #Bookstodon #BookThread

23. Summon Us by M. T. Adams. This book is what prompted my post about needing a dark romance mentor. Also my own fault as I DIDN'T read the 2 page content notes carefully enough. Basically, a cult ruined this girl's life when she was a teenager, and now she and her 4 guys are out for revenge. They are all unhinged. THIS IS NOT A GOOD INTRO TO THIS SUBGENRE! TW for...well, everything. I finished it today and I'm in my feelings and can't talk about it without flailing. #BookstoDon #BookThread

22. Dead Woman Walking, a Stalker romance by Lilith DeLuca. Here's where I start listing books out of order. This book is a deliciously dark book set around a Halloween festival. It is not at all what it appears but I'll just say that the why choose is definitely on point with three very different men. TW for well, mild stalking? Dub con, extremely gruesome. I gave it 5 stars and my review says I cried a little. The vengeance is top tier. #BookStodon #BookThread
