Everytime I have reviewed a website and it was poorly designed/built, it was a [Wordpress | Framer | Webflow | Carrd] website.

Why?

For the same reason why vibe coded apps feel cheap and usually fail to create smooth and enjoyable experiences.

I'm TKb0iZ, ruining popular and obscure songs since 2023/4 ish.

I'm far more passionate about #music than anything else, but I also do #writing and #art from time to time. I like every genre of music, but I specialize in mostly pop, EDM, and classical #piano music. Also learned piano when I was 12.

I actually barely play games as I come from a low income family that can't afford the new Nintendo Switch 2 console, but I tend to gravitate towards #FridayNightFunkin, specific #IndieHorrorGame titles, and specific older #Nintendo titles.

I don't watch much TV and movies but I'm more into various lesser known European animated movies.

I alternate between #Windows and #Linux. I actually have a Windows laptop but sometimes use a USB to boot to live #Fedora.

I read mostly #nonfiction (specifically music history and theory)

I also work (can't disclose my occupation), and live mostly alone except when family comes over, and am mostly ostracized in my country #Romania in real life. So I don't have many friends in real life or online.

Fedi recommended #porkbun for domains and... can I just gush about them for a minute?

I tried my hand at domain forwarding with #Carrd but their documentation was out of date. K, cool.

Jumped on with porkbun support, was chatting with a helpful human within two minutes :blobfoxbongo:

Not only was Trevor the Support Guy friendly and helpful but he also walked me through each step with screen grabs so I learned as we went. AND for extra credit, he's going to email Carrd and tell them to update their docs.

A Fun SEO Win

Not a hugely searched term in Google, but I come up in multiple locations for the term Philly Startup Advisor.

It’s a one-pager setup on Carrd.co and isn’t even a .com. It’s a freaking .us!

What I find interesting is that so much emphasis is put on the .com domain suffix and the fall of the exact match domain (EMD) ranking factor. Yet, albeit a not hugely searched for domain name, I rank.

It’s the small things in life.

URGENTLY REOPENING #MUSIC #COMMISSIONS AGAIN – Delivery expected for no earlier than March 2025

On August 17, my computer (the device I use for all my music productions) became out of service by an exploding power supply, shortly after recovering from a tropical storm-caused blackout. It cost nearly US$150 to replace that PSU with a new unit, which still refused to power on the computer because it too got damaged, somehow (turned out, the peripheral power cables connecting the PSU to the hard disk & optical disc drives were either shorted or incompatible with the new PSU, thus damaging it). A month later (September), the new PSU was again replaced but also this time the peripheral power cables were also replaced, & only then my workhorse PC came back alive… only for the new PSU to again explode now on October 16 (two months after the first PSU’s explosion & one month after being replaced together with new cables). So, once again, my music-production PC is AGAIN out of service, & who knows if now there is a new component that needs to be replaced before it again explodes my next PSU?

So, I need to AGAIN reopen music commissions & need to fill in as many #commission slots as possible to raise enough funds for the replacement parts (because now it’s not just the PSU nor its peripheral cables, it could now also be something else & I don’t know what it is).

If there is a #game-music track or #anisong you want to see turned into a #PC-9801 version (instrumental #chiptune only) &/or a #PC-9821 version (with synthesized vocals from #VOCALOID &/or #SynthesizerV), please kindly hit me up on the #Ko-fi link below & contribute as much as you are financially able to contribute.
