I was out at Chanonry Point yesterday filming for Channel 5, all went well and we even had some dolphins go trundling by - among the nine or so that we saw were these two, my namesake "Charlie" is the dorsal fin on the left, his buddy Clyde is the smaller fin on the right. #ChanonryPoint #Dolphins #Nature #PhotoID

Great to spend time with https://www.whales.org colleagues down in Wiltshire this week but it's nice to be home given the snowy weather - here's the #ChanonryPoint Chanonry Narrows from the EasyJet flight coming in to land near #Inverness today.

Well, we got some snow last night. Conditions at Chanonry Point on the Black Isle were fairly epic for today’s dog walk!

When I go for a wander at Chanonry Point on the Black Isle, I tend to have my attention on the east side looking out to the North Sea. As you come around the southern point heading back to the car park, you get a view west of the Moray Firth with Inverness in the background. The clouds and sky on this day were fairly dramatic as the weather passed by.

It has been a very quiet few weeks for seeing the local Bottlenose dolphins in the Inner Moray Firth around Chanonry Point, the winter period can be quiet anyway as they spend a lot of time further out to sea. The most reliable time to see them up here in the Moray Firth is from the end of March onwards, once the salmon run picks up. #dolphins #MorayFirth #Wildlife #ChanonryPoint #DolphinsOfMastodon
