A bit more for any #TallShip fans out there. It was the #CisneBranco, which means White Swan in Portuguese. It was a handsome vessel. We did not get to see it under sail.

(Don't know how to add a "loop" iphone image here on Mastodon, but the wind was pretty intense that day.)

May 12, from Fort McHenry in Baltimore, looking out into the Patapsco River. Two ships of very different style, temperament and behavior shown here.

The Cisne Branco is motoring in on the left of the picture, sails down. I saw it, but didn't really realize what it meant until the next day when we found it docked in the Inner Harbor.

The Dali, of course, is the huge container ship which slammed into the Francis Scott Key bridge, destroying it, and killing 6 workers, and closing the channel for large ships. I believe it will be floated out of the way this coming week.

The ship is a brilliant white, with it's large Brazilian flag on the stern, and a very large number of flags and pennants running along the rigging from the bow, up to the top of the mast, and down to the stern.

It made a very pretty display (and was quite loud, in the wind)
