Beginning to wonder if the time taken to fix code produced by CodePilot and ChatGPT is longer than just doing some reading and writing from scratch myself like I would have previously.
I possibly learned more because I had to debug why things weren't working, so maybe helped my learning đ€

Bottom line? Accelerates work for experienced developers, learning tool (but hinders development) for beginners.
It's a useful tool if you know how to use it... like most tools.
I've personally estimated a time savings of 4-5 hours last month due to #codepilot

Dadurch Ànderte sich z.B. Frequenz des elektronischen "Motor-GerÀusches" per Geschwindigkeit mit der man z.B. das Fahrzeug schob.
(um dann z.B. bei Druck auf einen mechanischen Sensor an anderer Stelle einen Motor zu starten und anders zu klingen)

There's a study from Stanford University talking about GenAI code assistants. I fully agree with conclusion:
"(...) We observed that participants who had access to the AI assistant were more likely to introduce security vulnerabilities for the majority of programming tasks, yet were also more likely to rate their insecure answers as secure compared to those in our control group. (...)"

After a week using github codepilot I can say is an impressive technology but is not a substitute for a experience developer (at least not yet) Still makes basic code errors. For sure reduces code development time!! Is a great code assistant. #codepilot #github #developer
@verge Iâm shocked even 3% of the developers surveyed on Stack Overflow deemed AI tool coding output âtrustworthy!â Weâve been using #ChatGPT and #CodePilot extensively since their release, but almost 100% of the output has insidious bugs even for trivial problems.
I find it highly unlikely that LLM coding output will be used in professional software engineering for much more than initial scaffolding of prototypes, MVPs, and âassisted inspirationâ sources for decades to come.
We're evaluating #CodePilot at a company I work for, and I just noticed that even on the marketing page of CodePilot there is something that bothers me a lot with CodePilot. You don't want to write find_by_name for a first draft. That's rails smartness built in already. #ruby

Was die Brushes dann machen ist dann ernĂŒchternd unter anderem Abfragen besser lesbar zu machen, was dann zu der Frage fĂŒhrt, wer baut ĂŒberhaupt solche Abfragen?!

Opening it up: that's what the#LEGO #CodePilot looks from the inside. Likely two layer PCB (backside does not have any components placed, most likely groundplane). Opened mine for cleaning as the battery contacts had corroded. The barcode is scanned on the bottom left side.
"The first #MINDSTORMS programmable bricks, the #RCX, had several 'incarnation'. Most people remember the yellow brick but there were several others, including the #CodePilot that used light sequences as commands. Those VLL codes could be printed as barcodes: (...)
and the Code Pilot set had a companion sheet with some codes and also key notes that could be used as a #barcode piano."
Seems to match:
"VLL is a binary bar code comprised of: Start bit, Checksum, Data, Stop bit. (...) The checksum and data are binary digits with 0 being two spaces and a bar while 1 is a space and a double width bar. Die Zeit in der #Lego Kindern mit jedem #Technic-Set irgendein anderes mechanik-Konzept beigebracht hat (und sei es das 100. Set mit Zahnstangenlenkung und Differential) ist halt leider lÀngst vorbei
Grandiose Sets wie 8479 (nicht mal primÀr wegen #CodePilot) mit gleich 3 Alternativanleitungen die alle jeweils was völlig anderes an Feature mitbrachten wird man von dieser Firma nie wieder sehen
zum GlĂŒck gibt es Innovationen aus China - hĂ€tte nicht gedacht dass ich das mal sage
