Over the years, I've seen my fair share of heated debates about #codingconventions—how to layout code, the maximum length of a line, the spacing between braces and parentheses, when to use a line break, and many more details like that. I've also been guilty of spending time discussing these conventions in #codereview comments, which obviously didn’t help foster a positive environment.
