If you have been to a convention and are experience "con crud", please do yourself and others a favour and get some covid tests for self testing. They should be available in pharmacies and sometimes drugstores and don't cost much. (My local drugstore even offers tests for covid, influenza A/B and RSV.)
Just saw a post online from someone that con crud sucks extra hard this time and affected a lot of people they know... Yes, having a cold is still a thing, but it's good to know for both you and your loved ones that it's really just a cold, and to act accordingly.

Man, I gotta take it easy with this #SXSW crap. Got down sick after Friday night with fever, chills, sinuses inflamed, sneezing, the works. Had to cancel Saturday, the best day. Covid negative. I forget that "Con Crud" is still an actual thing. Always forgetting.

I love the music discovery and hanging out with friends and seeing cool stuff and the exercise and fresh (and stale) air, but, man, sometimes I feel like I'm too old for this shit.

I have seen a couple of people who were at the World Science Fiction Convention in Glasgow reporting positive COVID-19 tests today.

I have seen pictures of the event, and many people were wearing a facemask. There were times when thousands of people were in the same space. Not all #concrud is #COVID19 but it would be reckless to dismiss the possibility.

Just got back from the con and I got the con ick.
Sore throat, sneezing and headaches. Testing negative for COVID so far.
Time for lots of water, medicine and bed rest!

Ughhhhhhhh... Looks like I caught #ConCrud from #TFF2023. Been feeling feverish, chills, aches, sore throat, and massive fatigue since last night, along with a little bit of occasional cough and runny nose. Stayed home from work because my temp was almost 101°F this morning.

Figures that the first time I think it's safe to go to a big social event, I get sick. :/

At least it doesn't appear to be the 'Rona tho, thankfully - this is my second negative test in 24 hours. #xp
