You usually see conjoined fruits more often - if they're stone fruits. They don't occur as much with apples.

Here's a past news story about a conjoined apple find in Kelowna - but the writer wrongly calls them deformed. They aren't deformed, they just grew together - perfectly edible & some are really cool looking too.
