Just added support for my port of . It dramatically improves disk performance. Currently it works on a 1541 (with JiffyDOS ROM) and a CMD FD-2000, probably; there's a good chance it works on an SD2IEC as well, but I haven't been able to test that.

The Coolest Thing In The World Is CP/M For 6502
Is that hyperbolic? It probably is. But the heart wants what it wants, and what mine wants is CP/M for the MOS 6502 processor. Set Side B is a blog about computer entertainment, in all its many forms, and this qualifies in my mind, because it's not like anyone's going to be using it do real work.

I've updated my ports for the and . They now have an integrated fastloader for much better disk performance, more RAM, better screen handling, better keyboard handling and are in general much more useful. You get:

- an assembler and disassembler
- two editors
- some demo programs and tools
- a port of Atari BASIC
- binary compatibility with the other 14 CP/M-65 platforms (getting the binaries onto the disk is your problem)
- bugs

Presentation on CP/M-65 by David Given at the “Commodore Users Europe” meeting in December 2023.

CP/M-65 is a clone of the CP/M operating system ported to 6502 machines, such as the Atari 8bit, C64, Commodore PET, BBC Micro, Atmos Oric and more.

It comes bundled with Altirra Basic, an open source Atari Basic compatible programming language, an “vi” compatible editor and an assembler, among other tools
