They want the ”freedom” for the will of the elected majority to not apply to them.

Partindo desse horizonte, a CryptoRave é uma festa/encontro/evento ABERTA e GRATUITA, onde ativistas, hackers, jornalistas, cypherpunks, estudantes, nerds, artistas, pessoas curiosas e interessadas em apropriar-se de práticas de segurança e de proteção de dados pessoais podem se encontrar. São mais de 24 horas de oficinas, conversas, debates, apresentações, trocas e formação nas áreas de intersecção entre segurança, privacidade, criptografia e artes. Tradicionalmente, ao final da jornada de atividades, há uma grande FESTA de encerramento!
A programação é feita a partir da inscrição de atividades sugeridas pela comunidade, com participação de grandes nomes da segurança, criptografia e privacidade globais, pessoas trazidas com o apoio deste financiamento coletivo. A CryptoRave é um evento independente, organizado de forma voluntária, encabeçado pelos coletivos Actantes, Maria Lab e Saravá, mas realizado colaborativamente por muitos indivíduos. O evento não remunera de nenhuma forma as pessoas participantes e não aceita patrocínio de empresas ou de organizações não governamentais, sendo exclusivamente realizada por meio da ação voluntária das pessoas, desde a organização do evento, até a realização das oficinas, das palestras, dos debates etc. Para que essa independência seja garantida, o ideal é que todas as despesas sejam cobertas por contribuições voluntárias. Assim, os recursos arrecadados aqui serão utilizados única e exclusivamente para cobrir as despesas com a realização do evento. Calling all #cypherpunks, can anyone point me to an example of an actual SWEET32 attack on a system, such as a blog article, video, or CTF where the attack is actually done? I know about sweet32.info and that there's a Metsaploit module for it, but I don't see this as a practical attack, so looking for more info.
Щойно помітив, що сайт популярного анонімного криптогаманця Samurai Wallet (https://samouraiwallet.com) зламано і забанено ЦРУ та ФБР, а їх девелоперів заарештовано (один у США, інший у Португалії).
Як пишуть ЗМІ, Міністерство юстиції США висунуло обвинувачення ймовірним розробникам Samourai Wallet у відмиванні коштів (або допомозі зловмисникам у відмиванні коштів) та здійсненні грошових переказів без банківської ліцензії.
Найкращий анонімний біткойн-міксер Whirlpool теж зупинився і більше не приєднує монети.
Спробував зайти в свій гаманець через мобільний клієнт Samurai Wallet - не входить. Отакої. Добре, що у мене там не було монет!
Шкода. Сервіс був одним з найкращих з точки зору конфіденційності криптовалют.
Мда, чую криптовалюту будуть намагатись взяти під повний контроль, а децентралізовані сервіси пресувати по повній.

Ну що, мої дорогі друзі, завершили ми дослідження про шифропанків. Дослідили усіх кандидатів на роль "Сатоші Накамото". Були відкореговані деякі позиції, наприклад щодо Хела Фінні, а також Крейга Райта, який не є Сатоші. Була проаналізована загальна історична хронологія розвитку криптографії, що власне і привело до появи Bitcoin. Стаття цікава, насичена і актуальна. Також дізнаєтеся хто такі шифропанки, що таке криптоанархізм, які ідеали вони відстоювали, а також як зародився їх рух. Це надзвичайно цікаво в контексті сьогоднішніх подій та відродження хакерського руху.
P.S. До речі, кончений Google викинув з індексу цю статтю за запитом "хто такі шифропанки", а також "історія шифропанків". Сторінка відсутня у видачі, замість неї з'являються сторінки з соцмереж, де вона була опублікована. Тіньовий бан.... Я бачу Сергій Брін і Ларрі Пейдж або працюють на когось, або нариваються на скандал. Нічого-нічого, хлопчики, скоро Bing вийде в ТОП, а Маск вже розробляє свою пошукову імперію. Так що не довго вам залишилося царювати, не довго. Всіх ставлять рано чи пізно на своє законне місце.

Я довго не думаючи, спонтанно, даю йому задачку:
ДОБУТИ ІСТОРІЮ WHOIS ДОМЕНУ BITCOIN.ORG. Будь-яким способом.
Якраз досліджую історію Сатоші Накамото, й мені це було дуже корисним.
Пройшло 3 дні - від хлопа ні слуху, ні духу. На зв'язок не виходить. Пропав безслідно. Отже, СКАМ.
А тепер висновок, для HR Security. Чи варто було таку людину запрошувати зі старту на співбесіду і проводити з ним якийсь Video-Call, базуючись лише на тому, що він розповідає і його "шикарному резюме" з сертифікатами, курсами, record'ами?
Однозначно - НІ. Більше скажу, зараз під виглядом різних партнерів, рекрутерів, кандидатів шифрується море різного зброду. Для нього співбесіда, вочевидь, була єдиним шансом вийти на безпосередній контакт зі мною та щось розвідати. Але агент провалився))
Ну, а тепер даю відповідь, як все-таки треба було вирішити цю задачку? Задачка до біса проста, але вона відразу дає відповідь - можна таку людину брати на співбесіду, чи ні.
Добуття історії Whois-записів домену Bitcoin.org у мене зайняло не більше хвилини. Для подібних задач я використовую старий-добрий Linux CLI і безкоштовний API, наприклад Security Trails:

На скріншоті можна побачити повний вивід історії змін Whois-записів для домену Bitcoin.org, на якому у 2008 році сам Сатоші Накамото виклав опис моделі своєї криптовалюти Bitcoin!
Невдовзі на сайті kr-labs.com.ua буде опубліковано просто гігантський історичний екскурс, який дасть відповіді на більшість запитань по цій темі!
P.S. Про Reverse-інженерію месенджера WhatsApp я теж не забув. Ми працюємо над цим. Все в процесі!

@mariyadelano i will spare you the boring jargon: the ATA USB thing is a device i need to hook up old hard drives to modern computers. i have 6-7 old drives that i pulled from old servers over the years and i am certain at least a couple of them would have been from that era. i left a note on the desk to see if i know where those drives are.
