Morane Gruenpeter shared her #deRSE26 keynote slides on #DigitalSovereignty and the mission of Software Heritage to preserve this vital intellectual heritage. https://zenodo.org/records/18848442
Thanks for the organiser of the bird of fear "Developing the role and career pathways of RSEs in Germany: Current perspectives and future aims" during #deRSE26. The fish bowl 🐟🥣 structure was fabulous for the discussion.
I had the chance to present a poster about our HPC cluster BinAC 2 at #deRSE26
We're providing computational resources for researchers in Baden-Württemberg working in the fields of Bioinformatics, Astrophysics, Geosciences, Pharmacy and Medical Informatics:

Keynote about #digitalsovereignty by @moranegg this morning at #deRSE26.
The knowledge is in the source code. #OpenScience is not possible without #OpenSource.
Second day of #deRSE26 starts with the keynote of Morane Gruenpeter from @swheritage: "Digital sovereignty in the age of software forges: why preserving source code matters".
My previous experience was that software testing was a boring topic that few people were interested in. But the workshop "Beyond unit tests" by Anna-Lena Lamprecht and Sebastian Müller during #deRSE26 is fully packed. 😱
Excited for #deRSE26 this week. You can find me at our booth - proudly transported here by bike ;)
If you didn't attend #deRSE26, the keynote speaker wrote many of the themes of the presentation as blog posts. 🥰 Plenty of reading for thoughts.
Wolfgang Bangert from www.dealii.org highlighting issues with research software development at #derse26 .
"Software is about people."
It is time for the #deRSE26 opening keynote with Wolfgang Bangerth: "What it takes to run a large mathematical open source library".
If you are attending #deRSE26 today, visit my poster to learn more about #JupyterLite and how it runs #Python or #Rstats on the users device. #WebAssembly
@dfg_public funding will enable a German broad infrastructure for #ResearchSoftware
#ConnOSS would get the metadata, find.software could expose it in a catalogue, CORSES could use it to find expertise and experts. Domain-based projects scverse. CAES³AR, swmath will support specific communities.
#ConnOSS https://connoss-project.github.io @ZBMED @GESIS #UniOldenburg #ConnOSS ready to collaborate and help build this broad #RSE infrastructure!
Satellite event at #deRSE26
I had a great start at #deRSE26 with the workshop "Trainer, Tutor, Consultant, Developer: Investing in the Full and Sustainable RSE Spectrum" by Nicholas Del Grosso sharing the experience of iBOTS group with providing training. Check the iBOTS page for the projects they are doing: https://ibots-bonn.de/
On my way to #derse26! Also I have two open positions in my group - one focusing on secure software architecture for complex and security relevant software and one about integration AI securely and smart info software development. If you are interested in one of those, let's chat!
Today is the first day of the 6th German Research Software Engineer Conference. ☺️ See all the attendees soon. #derse26
During the Stuttgart #ResearchSoftware Day many different groups are targeted. Stuttgart is clearly a technical university. #deRSE26
On board of the ICE train 🚄 to Stuttgart for the #deRSE26 conference. I'm looking forward to catching up with people and finding out what's been happening in the world of #RSE and #Jupyter. If you are interested in last week #JupyterHub roadmap workshop, send me a message.
