In this case, the #6 C83 Crossing. As always, behaves like an Insulfrog as delivered, but can be wired as an Electrofrog.

Powering the frogs will require a DPDT switch, or a pair of devices to control the phase of each of the outer frogs.

Short Circuits & DCC:

Short circuits are bad in any instance. With #digitalcommandcontrol, boosters supply a lot of current, so a short is a very bad thing.

Most boosters use "rate of change." A sudden spike triggers the protection circuit. Therefore a short can occur, but the booster cannot see it.

With energy storage in multiple vehicles a false trigger is possible.

Wring a #ModelRailway for #NMRA Digital Command Control isn't difficult.

The basics:
1. It is not analog Direct Current so the rules are different.

Actually the wiring is much more straightforward, only a heavier gauge of wire is required. Reverse loops must be accommodated. Some turnouts may cause issues.

Outside of that, it is a lot easier than the old DC Block systems of yesteryear.
