It uses a lot of stuff I know nothing about, but I thought it might be useful. Please let me know if I have got something completely wrong (in particular, booting seems to take ages now!)

Feels like I spent half of yday trashing my already trashy nest in a meltdown looking for my set aside in a safe place raspi. Tf it got found or my blood vessels would have strangled me. The normally only disgraceful ISP is also playing scarface.
