Ed McBain's Cut Me In was published in 1954. A guy wakes up next to a blonde. He has no idea who she is. Then he finds his partner Del Gilbert lying dead on his office floor. The safe is open. A good solid mystery with some tasteful sexiness.

Cop Hater is a 1958 B-movie police procedural based on an Ed McBain 87th Precinct novel. Cops are getting gunned down. Not a bad movie. Not really film noir but does have a tough seedy gritty sweaty and at times sleazy edge to it.

Dreary.

1️⃣ 6 years after a $4-million-dollar bank heist, #PeterFalk & #HarrisonPage go searching for the money.

2️⃣ This is the second time the series has used an #EdMcBain novel for the story. And, just like the first time, it doesn’t have the usual/beloved Columbo formula.

3️⃣ Best parts: #TyneDaly has one scene and she’s amazing. Also, the way Columbo catches the villain at the end is very clever; very cool. And Page is very good as the detective working with Columbo.
