Question for the extroverts who are still masking:
What things are you doing to form bonds with people and connect while being safe? What is working for you?

I run games online and have met with friends at concerts where my wife and I are masked. It’s still hard. I’ve also tried outside group activities like run clubs, but then they want to go get pizza together and I don’t want to be eating inside. I’d love to meet people with similar attitudes about Covid. I tried CovidMeetup.com but I wasn’t making a lot of connections. I’d love to hear what you all do.

Please boost if you can.

A question for extroverts: What’s the longest you can be in silence when you’re around other people? How long can you go without talking? #introverts #extroverts

I was a terrible leader. At least this is what I thought about myself...

I didn't like talking to my team in public settings.

I avoided after party "fun".

And even I was skipping dinners with my team.

Until one chat over the morning coffee.

It was one of my mentors who explained the concept of introverts, they strengths and weaknesses and how to work around them.

This episode of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘦 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺𝘴 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘸 dives into how 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 >𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺< can transform your leadership style.

We talk about:

📌 Discover how introverts and extroverts can thrive in leadership roles.

📌 Learn strategies for leveraging your strengths, creating inclusive environments, and understanding the introversion-extroversion spectrum on your leadership journey.

📌 Whether you're a quiet thinker or an energetic conversationalist, there's a place for you here.

Let me know your experience with that topic.

Is it easy to be an introverted leader?

Imagine you've turned up to a party and it's full of #extroverts and they're having a great time. But everyone is kind of talking over the top of everyone else, and not really listening to each other.

#Introverts hate these kinds of parties. I've never felt more lonely than in a room full of people I can't talk to.

Many social media spaces feel like this for me. But even worse is when you know people in the room, and they still don't wanna say hello let alone listen to your thoughts.

Happens quite a lot and the expectation that this can happen tends to deter me from asking in the first place (well done, #extroverts ...)

how can #introverts let #extroverts know that they are being a pain in the ass --- without directly telling them that they are being a pain in the ass?

All our more introverted/introspective people [mostly our medics] are very blunt direct and to the point, don't like small talk or a lot of b.s.

our extroverts seems to be generally oblivious that other people don't want constant conversation/discussion/chit chat

Okay, but…hear me out #extroverts of the world…there is a huge difference between social isolation and being introverted. As a life-long member of the #introvert club, i get physically and mentally exhausted by any social activity. I mean anything where people are present from the grocery store to a family gathering. While I agree to a point on these studies, I do think we need to consider the detrimental impact being social has on introverts & stop pushing it on us. tinyurl.com/Inthlt

So I went out tonight to #Derby #EMOM and my mental health is now stupidly good... like, I don't feel even a little bad. It's such a relief.

I need human company so much. It just recharges me like nothing else.

(I live on my own and work from home so my life is very solitary.)

Are there any other #hypersocial #extroverts on here?

There is a guy calling himself @nezkovsou@twitter.com. I like his art. But while understanding #introverts quite good. I suddenly got an opinion about how he understands #extroverts.

Funny. Anyway.
Since having thought about this stuff my overall moot improved by ALOT. Maybe 'hope' is the best medicine. But I also decided that I want to try that out.

Enjoying beeing extrovert instead of hating myself for not shutting up? Sounds plain simple.

I got myself an #masterthesis in order to finish that one.

Last months I again had to suffer quite heavy from my #depression and how to tread it.
Suprisingly I noticed on myself that an stupid comic making fun about #extroverts and #extrovertproblems made me think for quite some days.
I always had been quite extrovert since the early child days. But I never imagined it, that it could be an issue. But facing the facts, f.e. when it comes to programming, it's undeniable to notice that the reason why I quit my problems always had been the same: attention

Let's not confuse Introversion with Shyness. The difference between Introverts and Extroverts relates to what is energizing and what is draining. We will discuss how this affects work environments and social occasions. Join us Thursday, March 9 at 8 am CST on Mentza.

The idea that there are 2 neat buckets—one for #introverts and another for #extroverts—is now seen pretty universally as outdated.

But most folks still don't seem to grok that the distribution follows a bell shape. In other words, THE VAST MAJORITY OF US are somewhere in the middle.

So if you've always had the nagging suspicion you were one of them "rare" #ambiverts—you were right! You can continue behaving uncharacteristicaly for whatever bucket people tried to fit you in, guilt free!

@0x58 I pick up Susan Cain’s “Quiet” every so often. So pleased a leadership mentor suggested it to me, an #introvert, (at age 60!) #Extroverts need to read it! Good reading for #teambuilding and #leadership in the #workplace

I've often struggled with sociability. I don't trust extroverts. What are they so happy about?
