I’d been lamenting that my office’s migration to #Office365 was going to really mess up my workflows. I’m still getting accustomed to having to use #Outlook instead of Apple Mail, but there is some good news. It seems our IT staff were incorrect about not being able to keep using #Fantastical for calendars. I don’t think Apple Calendar will work but Fantastical signs into 365 just fine. AND I figured out how to also add the many delegate calendars I manage! Kudos to @flexibits for 365 support!

Heute ist das letzte @flexibits #Fantastical Widget gewichen. Leute, Ihr kriegt es seit Monaten, ach was, JAHREN nicht auf die Kette, dass der heutige Tag angezeigt wird und schon vor Tagen erledigte Tasks verschwinden. Euer Design ist immer noch mit Abstand das beste, und Euer Natural Language Parser ist ungeschlagen (neue Termine noch immer nur damit)! Aber solche Kleinigkeiten bei dem Preis nicht ein für allemal zu beheben, ist ein No-Go.

Llevo un año buscando una app de calendario para quitarme la suscripción de Fantastical la encuentro #BusyCal, y ahora me doy cuenta que sin tener la suscripción activa de #Fantastical me funciona el 90% de las cosas, Apple Watch incluido y también el Mac 🤷‍♂️

A recent(ish?) change to Apple’s app-specific password setup — required in cases where 3rd-party calendar or mail apps are accessing system info — is that they no longer allow you to retrieve those passwords should you need to re-enter them (say on another device), so store them safely in Passwords.app or 1Password. The only option now is to revoke-and-regenerate which, depending on the sitation, could involve lots of tiresome fiddliness. #Apple #passwords #macOS #iOS #Fantastical #MailMate

I do not know if anyone has encountered Fantastical in the system language Chinese, which does not follow the 24-hour system setting, but still displays "morning" and "afternoon". In this case, after I sent an email to inquire about it, the official has given me a hidden setting option, which can be set after opening the link in Safari.

As someone that uses #linux for two-thirds of my personal computers and was offered a Linux laptop for work. I chose an #Apple #MacBookPro for my work computer. I love Linux, but work productivity is hindered. Every mail and calendar app on Linux SUCKS! If my work life were not completely dictated by my calendar and email, it would be easy to give up #macos. But unless I had #fantastical, #mimestream, or #airmail, it's a hard pass. I'm all ears if I'm missing something.

Nachdem mir die Preise von #Fantastical schon vor Jahren zu arg(h) waren, habe ich zu BC gewechselt. Auf dem großen Bildschirm ein wahres Fest und die einzige mir bekannte Kalender-App, die Notizen in den Events anzeigt. So und nicht anders bereite ich meinen Unterricht vor und sehe in Cinemascope, was ich wann vorhabe.

Nur der irre Fantastical-Parser kommt für neue Termine & Tasks noch zum Einsatz.
