Zwar musst ich aus meiner eigenen Schusseligkeit das Projekt fast alleine beenden, aber immerhin, es hat geklappt!

Zu sehen ist ein schwer modifizierter Gameboy DMG 1 und eingesteckten Gameboy Camera-Modul dessen Linse in Selfierichtung zeigt. An diesem Gameboy ist ein selbstgebautes Gamelinkkabel an einem GB-Linkadapter am PC per USB angeschlossen ist.

I received a few AVR128DA32, which have four times the flash size - now I don't have to keep this in mind while experimenting. Also, I soldered a small #perfboard for the #GameBoyPrinter emulator. I used a few 30AWG flexible silicon wires to route the connections - they fit perfectly through the holes. It's 3cm x 7cm size and I placed the SD slot on the bottom to keep it intact, and the connector for the link cable underneath the display. Now I have to decide which size looks better, 1.3" or 0.9" #oled.

One reason for this dev board was to build a #GameBoyPrinter emulator for my #GameBoyCamera. The ATtiny814 just didn't have enough RAM. The NeoGB-Printer is a bit too specialized, I'll adapt the #Arduino GameBoy printer emulator from https://github.com/mofosyne/arduino-gameboy-printer-emulator to my needs. It'll have output on SD card and maybe a TFT status display, the prototype is already wired up. It'll give it a proper board later (might just be a #perfboard).

the prototyping setup with my AVR DA dev board and connected modules. there is a SD card module, two kinds of TFT displays, and a GBA GameLink connector with wires attached. also the Adafruit UPDI friend is connected

Thankfully rechargeable batteries exist this hobby definitely takes a lot of batteries!

the #mGBA emulator actually supports feeding your webcam feed into en emulation of the #GameBoyCamera. it can also emulate the #GameBoyPrinter. i think that's very neat 😺!

While waiting on mini cam parts, I decided to work on something else - Game Boy Printer paper cover! They break a lot, so figured a replacement would be nice to have. This is a simple model used to test fit before I add the rest of the details
