Suppression on #RT?

This is actually VERY unusual.... never seen something so brazen on an RT #podcast.

In this interview on #GoingUnderground in the 2nd minute the socially conservative interviewee mentions so-called leftists moving to #BlueSky, and #AfshinRattansi quite immediately cuts him off mid-sentence and repeatedly exclaims "Don't advertise it! Don't advertise it!" shouting down the interviewer, then laughs, and moves on to the next question. I've never seen Afshin behave this strangely, and he has interviewed some heated and awkward interviews over the years.

I'm no fan of #BlueSigh, but given Afshin's disdain for legacy social platforms, and new habit of shilling the microchipped ones' #extwitter and pratforms like substack (aka #SS) and rumble, and having guests on that do the same, I find it revealing that afshin would resort to #suppression of alternatives.

i wonder if the production compny (today based in the #UAE?) may be getting kickbacks for namedropping or recruiting people to particular platforms. We know that these sorts of arrangements exist. To his credit #JimmyDore admitted in an interview with #WhitneyWebb recently that he is being paid to be on (#peterThiel,s) rumble. Its quite possible that afshin or his production company are similarly corrupted.

To his credit, Afshin did present the interviewee with an interesting perspective on #identityPolitics that the guest appeared to not have considered in the past. So in all it was not a bad interview.

In an recent interview Matt Taibbi has a LOT of very interesting things to say about the state of the internet. Also this....

>The [US] election is already a massive turning point in American history because its essentially exposed the entire cultural framework of the country as having no influence and having been lost to its audience, and that's something we've never seen before in this country. It's fascinating(....) Everything is on the table now. This is maybe the end of everything for NATO, for the intelligence services(....) these agencies that we fund so heavily can't even answer the most basic questions about their own populations, they don't even understand things that the average barber in a small town in America gets without ANY funding. These people are so locked up in their own hermetically sealed bubble of stupidity that they can't see beyond their own prejudices, and so that makes them dangerous and useless and expensive. So its ironic but it worries me too [with respect to assassination attempts on Trump] because their continued bureaucratic existence is at stake." #MattTaibbi on #AfshinRattansi #GoingUnderground
